Warrior of the Wasteland ROEX stands the test of time against Retrowave's decline, producing something unique and complex in an ecosystem that has exhausted itself in self-parodying detritus. Progressive layering of electronic sounds create works that always seem to appear in my track selections aside Marty O'Donnell and Andrew Sega, and that's high praise. Methodical, iterative, and vitalistic. Music to dream to and unlock the mind during bouts of highway hypnosis and calculating moments of intense analytical thought. Favorite track: Pursuit.

In August on Tusinta we were asked: "How long have you been listening to progressive house?". As it turned out, for quite a long time, and now we are releasing it.

There is no point in fighting for the purity of the genre, and the examples of artists like ROEX mixing synths, vaporwave and progressive house are proof of that. This album is a bit softer than the last Diversion, but even here you can still feel the state of summer love. When the nights flow too quickly into dawn with angry clouds, and the days seem endless in their fullness. Fast from progressive and slow from vaporwave. If this isn't a time machine, what is?

Aptitude, which we agreed to release a year and a half ago, has become a very personal and anticipated album. We recommend listening to it on a Saturday morning, it feels like the beginning of summer vibewise.
